Mar com Vida Fair

From November 4-5, Santa Barbara Beach, in Ribeira Grande, was the stage for the Mar com Vida (Sea Teeming with Life)Fair focused on topics related to the sea, from its potential in tourism to its environmental sustainability. Cristina Melo, representing the LOCAL – FOOD CULTURE® project, spoke about fish species that have low commercial worth but high nutritional value, while Pedro Gouveia, of the Kairós Cooperative, presented the Mar e Terra Food Baskets initiative, developed to promote the consumption of local products.
