On October 22, the fifth and final day of “The Food Culture of the Azores” Webinar, the topic “The Reality Behind Azorean Products” brought together Lurdes Rego, general director of Finançor Food Distribution; Avelino Ormonde, owner of BioFontinhas in Terceira Island; and Cláudio Pontes, chef and promoter of #comelocal regional products. Guided by Lena Goulart, communications professional, these guests took us behind the scenes of the distribution network for regional food products, as they discussed ways of giving value to local production, the dimension of the circuit, the yearly phases, and the numbers behind a healthy diet, excellent topics to keep consumers well informed.
